Simply Change XDCAM to ProRes 422, 4444 for work with Final Cut Pro 7/X(El Capitan)

Read the following pages which will introduce a professional XDCAM Converter Mac and Windows version as well as a step by step guide on how to convert XDCAM (MXF, MEPG-4) files to ProRes 422, 4444 for editing in Final Cut Pro.

Sony's XDCAM HD format is based on optical media, Sony’s Professional Disc system. Sony XDCAM HD camcorders record high-resolution MPEG-2 Long-GOP files, using the standardized Material Exchange Format container, other wise know as MXF. A low-resolution MPEG-4 video stream for proxy-based video editing is also created simultaneously with the high-resolution content during recoding.

During the XDCAM HD importing & editing process with the non-linear editor Final Cut Pro, many users are fed up with the incompatibility issues. Since Sony XCAM HD (MXF, MEPG-4) files are not ideal for editing in FCP. We'd consider going to some uncompressed codec that FCP might handle.
